"Polychrome (dark and light brown on cream.) Cochiti ceremonial figure with symbols of rain clouds and lightening. Signature inside and on bottom "Joy Lee" not known if potter or owner; "Zuni" sticker inside -- pink sticker on top of yellow sticker on bottom. Good [condition] -- hairline cracking on exterior."--The Museum catalog.

Reformer, theologian. While a faculty member at Lane Theological Seminary, he supported the student "rebels" involved with the abolitionist revolt and was subsequently dismissed on October 4, 1834.
